O my God, how does it happen in this poor world that you are so great and yet nobody finds you, that you call so loudly and yet nobody hears you, that you are so near and yet nobody feels you, that you give yourself to everybody and yet nobody knows your name? Men flee from you and say they cannot find you; they turn their backs and say they cannot see you; they stop their ears and say they cannot hear you. Hans Denck
About This Quote

The words of the great poet William Blake. You see, as human beings we all have a capacity to feel joy and pain as well as the ability to express those emotions. We all have a capacity to love and be loved. But, as humans living on this planet we have been conditioned to hide those feelings from others so they do not think us weird or strange.

We are told that holding on to our emotions is weak and that it will be much easier for us to just act like everything is fine without having to actually feel anything. This is what Nelson Mandela was referring too when he said “The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall”
